The People

Matt

Founder

Most automotive websites feature journalists who lack personal experience with the cars they review, or they rely on enthusiast forums where opinions dominate over data. YotaIntel exists to provide a better alternative.

Who am I?

My name is Matt and I’m based in Denver, Colorado. I’ve spent my career in corporate finance and M&A analyzing assets, stress-testing valuations, and determining what things are worth. Before my current role in the transportation industry, I worked at one of the largest tool manufacturers in the world. Numbers shape my thinking, and this discipline influences everything I write here.

At heart, I’m just a car guy and daily drive a 2012 4Runner SR5. It’s an OEM+ build, nothing too wild, but dialed in exactly the way I like it. Over the years I’ve wrenched on Toyota trucks, SUVs, and sedans, and that hands-on experience shapes how I write about these vehicles.

YotaIntel’s Value Proposition

What you will find is honest, data-backed analysis. This includes real depreciation curves, total cost of ownership breakdowns, financing comparisons, and buying guides that tell you what the dealership won’t. At the end of the day, if a trim upgrade doesn’t pencil out financially, I’ll tell you. If an extended warranty is worth it for a specific model and mileage range, I’ll show you the math.

If you’re trying to decide between trim levels, figure out whether to buy or lease, understand what a used 4Runner is actually worth, or just want a second opinion before signing anything at the dealership, then you’re in the right place.

Why listen to me?

  • I analyze assets for a living
  • I’ve been under these trucks
  • and I’ll always show you the math
